With an abundance of snow (some ski resorts have over 100cm of snow at the moment), Poland is the perfect place to start of your skiing season of 2012.
Here’s a webcam of Korbielow in Beskidy to whet your appetite for skiing in Poland.
Looking at the hotel rates, you can currently get hotels in the ski resorts of Zakopane, Szklarska Poreba and Karpacz (try saying those after a couple vodkas!) from around £35 per night for 3* properties on staypoland.com in February.
And the lift passes? In Polish ski resorts these will set you back £50 – £100 for 7 days. A much more affordable alternative to Italy or France!
There’s also plenty of ski schools, shops with skiing equipment and in the evening, there’s nothing better than relaxing in one of the local restaurants, enjoying the traditional fare (with some vodka to warm the blood :)) and listening to a local folk band give it their all.
There you go, all the work’s been done, time to head to the slopes! 🙂
Happy swishing 🙂
