Latest visit to Lublin / Swidnik airport

We’re back from another weekend in Lublin, landing at the shiny and lovely Lublin airport (now operating flights to Liverpool with Ryanair!!) – we love the countryside charm of landing among the scenic forests and fields in rural Poland, but you’re still only a 30 mins taxi ride or 15 mins train journey to the centre of Lublin! (check out the tractor in our photos of the plane below).

The terminal is pretty small, so no need to be there hours before, which is great if you want to spend more time with your family like we do 🙂

Some new additions since our last visit : the car hire options at the airport, new trains between Lublin and the airport, a brand new perfume shop, the new eurolot check in desk for new Gdansk flights and a chapel that has only recently been christened!

There’s still the 2 main duty free shops with perfumes and all the vodka you could ever desire – we picked up 5 mini bottles of Zubrowka for 7zl each (£1.20) and a couple bigger ones of Hazelnut and Malina vodka for 25zl  each (£5) – perfect gifts for back home!
